Keyesville Classic Event Schedule

This is the schedule for the 2018 Keyesville Classic. The schedule is subject to change, as there may be some additions to this schedule as we add new events.

Course setup volunteers should plan to be at the staging area on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.. Event volunteers please check-in at 6:30 a.m. on race day.

Recreation area and all trails are open to public use

12:00 – 4:00 pm: SD and XC Courses available for practice

3:00 pm-6:00 pm: Race Packet pickup on site.

Saturday, March 10, 2018

7:00 am- 4:00 pm: Registration is open

8:00 am: SD courses open for practice (no shuttle provided for SD). Signs will show the way to the start. Riders wanting to practice the Super D Saturday AM are reminded to do so with extreme caution and with buddies. While SUPER fun we all know it can be SUPER dangerous. Wear your helmets and gear and ride within your limits! The course will be marked by 9am Saturday.

8:00 am: Short Track: Beginner Men Open-Cat 3, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ ; SS Beginner Men Open-Cat 3; Junior Boys 15-18; Open Vintage 1986 and older, 87-96; Open

8:45 am: Short Track Race, Beginner Women Open-Cat 3, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+; SS Women Open; Junior Boys 9-14 Open; Junior girls 9-14 Open; Junior girls 15-18 Open

9:30 am: Short Track Race, Elite Women Open-Cat 1/PRO; Sport Women Open-Cat 2 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

10:15 am: Short Track Race, Sport Men Open-Cat 2 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+; SS Sport men Open-Cat 2

11:00 am: Short Track Race, Elite Men Cat 1/Open Men/Pro

Noon: SD course closed for practice runs

12:00 pm: Super D Race staging.

12:15 pm: AMSR Riders will start 30 second intervals for their one run. After all AMSR riders, (approx. 1:30 pm) the Super D only riders will start their 2 runs  in the same category order as the short track starts. Be on time at the start!

The Super D will start at approximately 1:30pm. Riders will leave in 30 second intervals and start in the same order as the short track. I.E. Beginner men ages, then SS men, then junior boys 15-18, etc. Prize list, placings are identical to the short track. Signs will mark the way from the main venue to the Super D start above the Dutch Flat trail.

AWARDS, PODIUMS:

Please listen up and make the podium. Short Track and Super D podiums will take place AT THE MAIN VENUE ASAP after the last Super D rider finishes; approximately 4pm. Results are final after 15 minutes. Results will be posted on the podium trailer. Top 3 in each category for podiums. It will be fast! Be there if you place.

AWARDS, PODIUMS, ENDURO-STYLE STAGE RACE AWARDS, RAFFLE: Podiums for SATURDAY Short Track and Super D will take place ASAP in the afternoon after the Super D. Results are final after 15 minutes. Results will be posted near the finish. Top 3 in each category for podiums. Podiums SUNDAY will take place ASAP after your race. We will do the XC podium AND the AMSR at the same time. There is an overall prize list, it is the same for each events prize list. Results are final after 15 minutes. At the end of the XC event the top 3 riders in each category will be crowned for the AMSR podium. The AMSR overall awards the top 3 in each category (top 5 in elite/PRO men and women) with the same prize list that is listed for each event.

In the event of a tie for the AMSR winner of any category we reserve the right to either use  the higher placed finish from the last event OR there will be a 100 meter standing start sprint on the bike in the main venue with heckling and cheering encouraged.

Raffle

The Keyesville raffle is awesome! You will receive 2 raffle tickets with your entry. Tickets are for sale at registration both days. For riders ONLY, they earned it, let em’ have a chance to win! The raffle will start at approximately 3:45pm SUNDAY. Lots of cool stuff to give away!
